 What’s New

2021

In December 2021 I was interviewed on WICC by Lisa Wexler on her radio show. I discussed the use of technology in nursing homes and you can click this link to listen to the interview: WICC Radio Show Recording.

Additionally, in December 2021 I presented on the use of technology in nursing homes by residents and a review of the statute enabling technology use in nursing homes as part of the patient’s bill of rights.

In November 2021 I participated in a panel discussion on recent developments in conservatorship law at a joint meeting of the Probate Court Assembly and The Connecticut Bar Association.

2019

At the June 10, 2019 Connecticut Bar Legal Conference, I served as moderator of a panel discussion entitled “Real Property Case Law and Legislation: Year in Review”.

2018

On June 11, 2018 at the Connecticut Bar Legal Conference, I served as moderator of a panel discussion entitled “Airbnb Law: The Implications of Short Term Rentals for Property Owners and Municipalities”.

2017

In May 2017 I was appointed by my peers in the Connecticut Bar Association Real Property Section as The Chair of the section after having served as its Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice Chair. I now hold the title of Past Chair.

As Chair I was the public face of the section. The section meets eight times a year and each meeting has a continuing education segment.

This means that I continue to learn practical information that benefits my clients. The section also actively monitors and proposes legislation regarding real estate and may take a position and present testimony or comment regarding proposed legislation to the Connecticut legislature.

Once a month, from September through May I have the privilege to interact at meetings with the best and brightest legal minds in the real estate field in Connecticut.
